the voters get their head out of their keester and move left and progressive in a very big way. Conservatism is just such a dead end. Unless voters begin to embrace a "Second Economic Bill Of Rights" as proposed by FDR in 1944 and was first mentioned by Teddy Roosevelt in 1912, the future will be bleak for workers. By forcing employers to honor their obligations the middle class can be restored to its proper place in our society.

(35,015 posts)As long as the powerful few are able to keep the voters bitterly pitted against each other, we can't use our power against them. Unfortunately, I don't think there will be a collective awakening until it's too late.

(67,111 posts)population don't seem to give a F what's going on politically and then many are naive and gullible. Unless voters wake up, I really see a dystopia as the future for the majority of Americans. Many will stand strong and say that can't happen, but they will be swept under by the apathy, naiveness and gullibility of a larger voting block. And then, many Americans are proud to be Stupid.

(25,699 posts)The world is constantly moving. Conservativism tells you, "we're going to stay right here and never budge."
It's a recipe for failure.
