Twas the night before the Presidential debate, and on board Mitt's plane
the candidate stirred, wishing he was at Bain
The soundbytes they hung in the air with big lies
as Mitt coveted Obama's Nobel Peace Prize
When out on the tarmac there rose such a clatter
It was Paul Ryan upset with his reputation in tatters!
"The fact checkers! They're demanding my deep honesty!
I swear my marathon time, was one thirty three!"
Pipe down my dear Ryan! We've got lies to create!
Now write me some zingers that will win this debate!
So they wrote pithy barbs and they laughed at their lies
About Obama raiding Medicare--a real October surprise
When what, to their wondering eyes did appear?
but a gang of fact checkers and their lie-detector gear!
Their polygraph machine told the story quite well
these goons were not honest and that created a yell!
Stop it! It's hard! My Mitt would not lie!
I love all you women! My horsey can fly!
With that Mitt just pouted, and practiced his lines
as he lied about welfare and jobless declines
He lied about Libya, Egypt and Iraq,
then he vowed to bring universal healthcare back!
But wait! I can't praise this Socialist Obamacare!
Even though it's my program, I reject it with flair!
The lies were so exhausting, that Mitt drifted to sleep
Eight hours is needed--with the odds so darn steep

(24,411 posts)I just needed to emote (and do something!) while waiting for these debates.
Social media is such a great way to 'spread the word' and I'm glad we now have
those direct links that allow us to post on Twitter and FB.
