Assuming we win the GA runoffs. Biden's back-slapping, good ol' boy politicking will have to pay in spades. Manchin will be the king maker in the Senate and Joe will need to shower him with praise, a few beers, and overnights at the White House Talk about how great and beautiful the state of West Virginia is. Give him anything he wants as far as federal dollars. Get Jill to befriend his wife. I think that should probably keep him on board for most stuff, outside of climate change related bills.

Abrams will need to drop a nuke bomb of mojo there to pull both off.

(68,586 posts)A big tent/50 state strategy is needed. I heard all sorts of crap here about Heidi Heitkamp and Claire McCaskill but had we retained them, we would now have a 50 50 Senate.

(19,962 posts)a big tent Democratic Party. You can still have your big ideas, but for God's sake be mindful of your party colleagues who are fighting for a seat in an R+10 or R+15 district, and choose your words accordingly.
