It's been going up since he clinched it on Saturday, but the massive spike this morning was due to the Pfizer news.

If people would only take a look at the 5-Day chart. The market popped on November 3 and plateaued for a time on November 5 and hasn't looked back since.

Adjust to "Five Day" view.

4. THe other major stocks are a huge part of today's surge

Apple is going up too, which accounts for a huge percentage of what the NASDAQ pre-mkt surge is.
Other stocks are also up. The Pfizer bump is not that big...only about a 2% surge for that stock.

Pre- market numbers include all stocks and never jump that much on one issue or one stock.

7. *** WARNING *** The Pfizer data is another "PRESS RELEASE" and not a peer reviewed study

The drug companies have been spiking stock prices by having these non peer reviewed press releases then later when the premo data comes out there's something wrong with it.

The thing that looks obviously wrong with the Pfizer data is they're not actively trying to infect anyone so how do they know the efficacy on a numerical basis?

Yes, somethings wrong on the face of this

massively unethical imho.

that said, yes, these are preliminary numbers on effectiveness, and no news yet on side effects, which may show up later.

so, cause for optimism, albert of the cautious variety....

9. It almost certainly is at least in part due to the vaccine report.

Silly to think otherwise.

Biden's election was baked into the market the week leading up to election day.

Not saying it doesn't matter at all but certainly not on the day to day level.

And there are other things that matter more when it comes to most people's economic situation .
