CNN: It's legal for them to count votes in Pennsylvania two days after the election on November 3rd?

Last edited Mon Nov 9, 2020, 10:47 AM - Edit history (1)

I’m not a “watch news in the morning” kind of person. CNN gave me a morning chuckle.

My TV has been on CNN for a week straight (I’m sure like many of us). I turn my TV on and it’s on CNN and they’re covering a protest of people claiming the election has been stolen.

A woman asks with the straightest face: It’s legal for them to count votes in Pennsylvania two days after the election on November 3rd????

Reporter: Yes!

Woman: You’re wrong! Go! I don’t even wanna talk to you.

As sad as this is... this is hilarious! Seeing their whiny little snowflake feelings.

It would take several days or more to count them.

Biden/Harris did right in mail in ballots, absentee ballots and early voting.

There was a reason why shithole pushed the notion that mail in ballots were bad, it hard to flip them unlike machine voting.

Trump et al. fought Pennsylvania's ability to verify and scan the early vote ballots , by refusing to change the law to allow them to be tallied when they came in.

So the tally included not just late arriving ballots - but all of the early votes, as well - the ones that Trump, et al. required to be counted AFTER election day.

She believes that at the stroke of midnight any uncounted votes turn into pumpkins.

The depth of ignorance among Americans is frightening.

Previously PA had very limited mail-in voting, only absentee ballots for which you needed a reason (out of town, etc). The law was that those votes were processed and counted starting on Election Day, and since there weren’t that many of them, it wasn’t a problem.
Enter the pandemic. The legislature (including R’s) decided to allow no-excuses mail-in voting in the primary. Maybe they didn’t think it would be all that popular since Biden’s nomination was a done deal by then. Wrong. And all of us who chose the mail-in option for the primary were allowed to opt to automatically get a mail ballot for the general.
Republicans were spooked by how popular this could get - remember that in places that have strictly mail-in voting, Dems usually win. Dems were spooked by how long it took to process and count all the votes.
Gov Wolf proposed that we allow the vote processing to start 7 days before the election. Repugs said fine - IF we take away the drop boxes and only allow the US Mail for sending in your ballot. This was when it was becoming apparent that Trump was deliberately having the mails slowed down. Wolf said no deal - the drop boxes stay. So that’s how we got into the situation of having many thousands of ballots that could only be processed starting on 11/3. And the “red mirage”. Add to that the fact that we Dems take COVID seriously and would rather not risk voting in person. That, and requesting for mail ballots at primary time (most Repugs didn’t vote in the primary) is why the mail ballots were overwhelmingly Dem.

Then she just said "move on" when she didn't hear what she wanted to.

It's just denial, it'll pass.

Refuse to allow mail-in votes to be counted until election day.

Then demand counting stops on election day.

Fuck 'em.

I used to wonder how Germans could believe that Jews had rat tails and all kinds of nonsense, but we're seeing it here too.

The antisemite campaigns in Germany were allowed to persist for decades before the Nazis were in power, much like Limbaugh and his ilk laying the foundations of dishonesty and hatred here.
