After not only Trump but re-electing Bush on purpose, there's a lot for them to be mad at us about.

I mean, yeah, a stable United States does increase stability in the rest of the world--it's not like they love us purely for ourselves--but it's nice to be back.

the other day. A few years younger but I recall DeGaulle, not all the details but I remember hearing his name in the news often for a time.

A family friend had a piece of art, a collage of tinted driftwood pieces, fashioned into a sort of mosaic of him from the waist up. It was big, too. A piece I truly admired.

Conservatives will never forgive PM Pierre Trudeau for his middle finger, "fuddle duddle" incidents but Canadians, by and large, loved him for it.

I love this, from CBC archives, explanation of the "fuddle duddle" incident:

"The prime minister interrupted me... by mouthing a four-letter obscenity," says Conservative MP John Lundrigan. "He mouthed two words," adds another Tory MP, Lincoln Alexander, to a group of reporters. "The first started with the letter F, the second word the letter O." The accused potty mouth, Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau, swears he did no such thing. Trudeau says that Lundrigan and Alexander are being "very sensitive" for "crying to mama and to television." When pressed by journalists on exactly what he said inside the House of Commons on Feb. 16, 1971, Trudeau mutters the soon-to-be famous phrase: "fuddle duddle."

I hope the White House takes up tweeting information on a daily, or even hourly basis. If Biden doesn’t want to do it that’s fine with me, but it doesn’t have to only be used for insane blathering. It’s a great tool in the right hands.

the voters decide.

Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau served 11 years, lost his election, barely, and was then voted in again one year later and served another 4 years for a total of 15 years.

They're starting to interface with Biden right now, basically cutting Trump out of the deal early. I hope all countries contact Biden's team right now and establish the relationship all while putting Trump in a holding pattern until 1-20-21.
