Where they would threaten to change their party affiliation to Independent just for a few days if the Republicans want to renominate him as leader? It wouldn’t have to be a Democrat just something that’s an improvement on Mitch. You could even have Manchin and Sinema join them to lend it some legitimacy. The current atmosphere is simply too toxic.
