I think they are giving a nod to reinforce a right wing perception so they can say, 'See. Obama's a socialist that despots like because he will make America into a communist state.' CNN has done it over and over. What liberal media do these ignorant tea partying selfish right wing pricks keep referring to? This propaganda is planted in between the vast wasteland of "real news" to make it legitimate. I think the repeating of a subtle lie till in becomes true is at play here.
