I think that Trump has had a nervous breakdown or some form of a psychotic break.

Hallie Jackson announced that Trump will not be seen today. People in the White House are trying to get him "to accept that he lost the election."

These legal actions are a bizarre charade to make him think they are on his side when in fact they are simply trying to buy time to get him under control. I think the meeting between Barr and McConnell was about what to do now that Trump has become incapacitated.

Leaks are coming from staffers in The White House confirming he can't win. They are messaging the public that they know it is over.

You know me here, I am not a conspiracy theorist. But they are covering something up.

They loathe us & there's a segment of them that would happily kill us. I honestly believe this. I have two trumpers who are so full of misinformation & hate for the libs, it comes out in almost everything they write or say. Anger seems to be a common trait they all have. I don't know if there is a way to break through to them & yet we can't just write them off like we have been doing.

America’s Next Authoritarian Will Be Much More Competent
Trump was ineffective and easily beaten. A future strongman won’t be.

snip...

Make no mistake: The attempt to harness Trumpism—without Trump, but with calculated, refined, and smarter political talent—is coming. And it won’t be easy to make the next Trumpist a one-term president.

At the moment, the Democratic Party risks celebrating Trump’s loss and moving on—an acute danger, especially because many of its constituencies, the ones that drove Trump’s loss, are understandably tired. A political nap for a few years probably looks appealing to many who opposed Trump, but the real message of this election is not that Trump lost and Democrats triumphed. It’s that a weak and untalented politician lost, while the rest of his party has completely entrenched its power over every other branch of government: the perfect setup for a talented right-wing populist to sweep into office in 2024. And make no mistake: They’re all thinking about it.

Tue Nov 10, 2020, 01:20 PM

There are the white bread trumpers who believe that real America is about the white, Christian patriarchy, nationalism. And then there are the Q-anon trumpers who probably believe all that other stuff, too, but also believe shit that is just boggling for anyone in touch with reality. I wouldn't even bother with the second group. And the first group? If they don't call you a socialist or a baby killer in the first three minutes, you might have a chance at a decent discussion.

You are probably right that one-on-one is the best approach, but it would be nice if the Democratic Party had a comprehensive ad campaign, with sharp, concise videos, educating the public about so many of the myths that have taken hold as truth in this country. Myths like the Republican Party is the party of fiscal conservatism. We have data that proves otherwise. Or that they are the party of family values. We have legislation that proves otherwise. Or that they are the party of personal responsibility. We have arrest records that prove otherwise. We need to quash these myths.

Or we come to terms with the fact that we're going to be a divided country & always at conflict with each other.

I think Biden/Harris is capable of this. I have so much confidence in them. They complement each other so well. When I think about Biden "meeting his moment," it's more than his empathy. The pacing of his campaign, the whole story of his campaign - can't wait for the book! - so well crafted. I feel like (finally, for once?!) the Ds are being more realistic and have so much skill and smarts, they've got this. Honestly, even more than the sainted Obama: I think he was not realistic, and under-estimated the cravenness of his political opponents in the Senate and House.

At least this is my hope!

*Also: don't forget the craven Rs who know better, but see some advantage in it for them; and don't frankly give a shit if people die or it's immoral. See Rubio, Collins, and friends.

They react emotionally so strongly that it clouds out rational thought. Help them to sort their feelings from their "ideas." Don't ask, "How can you believe such nonsense?" Instead, ask, "Why are you so angry?" Or, "Who hurt you so much to make you so angry?" Chances are there's a personal story of hardship and feeling that nobody was there for them. It's a hard lesson to learn the first time, but most of us get it by the time we hit puberty: Don't ask a question if you're not willing to hear "no" as well as "yes." We all want to hear "yes," but we also know that every question can also be met with "no." Donald Trump isn't some spoiled 8-year-old; he's 74 years old, fer crissakes. The 2020 election was a question, and Trump can't hear "no." Trump has been a case study for practically half of the psychologist's guide, the DSM-5.

If they say that Trump won't be seen today, you can bet your rent money that he's throwing tantrums and acting out. They can't let the world see Trump as he really is.

He's such a hot, melty mess that he can't do his hair. He does it himself, so if he can't get it together with the orange paint and hairspray, there's a problem. Plus he has nothing but venom to discharge so it's best that he not be in the public view, if his peeps could see that, things might change real quick for his image.

Plus, they know they are never going to have the chance to complete their careers as they are all liable for the myriad crimes committed in which they took part. Desperate times for desperate criminals.

Narcissist don’t cope well with failure. Their biggest fear is to be publicly found wanting. To see so many celebrating his loss could very well be too much. If the people around him are telling him to accept the loss he will see that as proof they are disloyal to him. That’s why he is firing everyone.

I’m sorry, but I’ve had four years of people looking out for their own interest rather than putting country first. There have been exceptions, of course.

But if something is happening such as you allege - and very well may be correct about - it is damn time that someone speak up and put national interests above petty partisan crap. So these “staffers” need to come forward.

Remember, they’re republicans. It’s not about governing, or the country, or helping people. It’s about greed, an ego trip, “owning the libs,” making a quick buck, etc. With the election over and him not winning, he figures his work is done. I expect no more from him than from Trump. Also don’t forget, he was a right wing radio jock, a la Limbaugh, before governor and vp. He isn’t in it to govern, so now that he doesn’t see a reason that he has to, why would he?

While I trust Barr and McConnell even less than as far as I can throw them, their statements on things have been fairly noncommittal. Barr made no call to do X or Y. He simply said prosecutors can investigate where there are credible reports. Think about that. That is ALWAYS the case. For Democratic or Republican DOJs. McConnell simply said Trump is within his rights to do what he's doing. McConnell himself didn't say he or the Senate would do anything.

In hindsight, both of them made statements to appease the Shithouse Rat in our Whitehouse and not much more than that.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/mystery-as-white-house-lawn-dug-up-less-than-a-week-after-election/ar-BB1aRZAI

Mystery surrounds the reason why the North Lawn at the White House has been dug up less than a week after the election.
A digger was seen at the world-famous address after a large portion of grass was removed from the garden on Monday. Newsweek has contacted the White House for a comment about the North Lawn.

The North Lawn, which is also known as the front lawn because of its location on Pennsylvania Avenue, is often seen on television when dignitaries arrive to meet the president.

CNN reporter Betsy Klein shared a picture of the site on Twitter and wrote: "Sometime between 5.30 a.m. and now the White House North Lawn was dug up."

Hopefully soon, Jared or Ivanka or Hope Hicks will catch the poopy baby and take it to Mar-a-Lago.

If he had had a true psychotic break (seeing hallucinations, spouting delusional nonsense aside from the election stuff, acting super bizaare, etc) we would have heard by now. This White House has a million leakers.

Kurt Eichenwald wrote about it and was threatened and I remember reading Ivana saying this in a article during the time. He disappeared for a period of time during this period when he went though one of his business failure bankruptcies.

"Donald Trump was institutionalized in a mental hospital for a nervous breakdown in 1990, according to a tweet posted this evening – and then deleted – by Newsweek writer Kurt Eichenwald. He stated his belief that Trump is refusing to release anything about his medical records or history for fear that it could lead to this particular detail being uncovered from his past.

https://www.reddit.com/r/conspiracy/comments/52p1c2/newsweek_mag_writer_suggests_trump_was/

And this vanity fair article ( sorry under lock) suggests he was institutionalized
https://www.wsj.com/articles/how-the-1990s-became-donald-trumps-personal-crucible-1469035278

But that said an article came out today saying if you had Covid if you suffer later from mental illness.

Also I would be ok if he is sedated and stays in his room because he is catatonic from fear of the consequences after losing the election and being out in January and no longer protected legally.

They want to get rid of all intelligence heads so they can clean house and cover tracks and maybe leave a few landmines to attach to Biden's presidency...

Every Republican knows this and they are worried they will get caught up in it, so all they can do is keep quiet and cross their fingers.

I don't know how else you can explain this....

Their problem is that this all probably runs real deep and they are disorganized and scrambling... I think that is why the Trump family is in such a desperate panic.

If he had a psychotic episode, then he needs to be sidelined. People need to stop coddling his stupid ass and just tell him it is over and he lost and he is making himself look like a bigger fool (if that is possible).

Trump has never been in a situation that he couldn't cheat his way, buy his way, or run his way out of. He is truly trapped.

He needs to be prevented from causing damage. His feelings, state of mind, and health are irrelevant.
