So, help me out - Is Stimulus connected to Unemployment?

I know we have no incoming stimulus checks anytime soon. But the last of the "bonus" unemployment also ran out pretty recently...that extra $600...then $300 was crucial.

So Im in CA and I dont understand why Newsom can't find some $$ to re-instate that unemployment additional amount, hell even $200 extra would help me actually pay utilities. I haven't paid in a while and am waiting for the shut off notices soon...

Im just worrying and scared and wondering of anyone can give me any GOOD news about this mness. It's not like finding a job right now is even remotely easy either. I was coming off disability when Covid hit...so there was no real transition cuz all my appts got scratched. Didn't actually file for unemployment till june I think? got some of the back pay but it's like a drop in the bucket when you are that far behind...

$1200. I have no idea if another one is coming. I rather doubt it as McConnell doesn't give a shit about Americans. They can lose their homes and starve and he won't give a damn. I doubt Trump gives a damn either.

so the states who dole out unemployment can't do the extra boost without the fed's help?

Damn, wish our Gov could find some $ without having to wait on them. Then again, he's got fire damage to worry about too
