I don't think the majority of the media will run with it. Any cred he had with them he lost when Fast and Furious blew up in his face, and Hillary isn't exactly known for backing down from bullshit-artists like Daryl. It's an issue that I have no doubt the Pres., his SoS, and campaign teams know back to front, ('cause they were THERE) and they won't get caught off guard...let me put it another way--expect Team Obama to take this knife away from Romney, and stab him in the fucking heart with it. As always, I could be wrong, but I expect this to be a non-issue, just another attempt to throw anything...ANYTHING at the wall to see if it's made out of sticky-stuff.

I doubt democrats will get caught by surprise. Look, if Romney does poorly in the debate and goes down by double digits, republicans are going to throw everything, including the kitchen sink at President Obama. Republican efforts will dig a deeper hole for themselves. The Obama truth team is firing on all cylinders, look at what they did with Romney's bullshit about being tougher on China than the President, the truth team has essentially massacred that asshole.

As Nancy Pelosi pointed out today on CNN, it was the Republican Congress that refused to give the State Dept the money requested to do things like fortify and improve embassies, hire security, etc. I think this could be deadly for the Repubs.

Romney's first attempt to make political hay out of the murder of Ambassador Stevens was a massive FAIL. So they've waited a few weeks for his embarrassment to blow over and now the surrogates try again.

Dumb move. Just reminds us of Romney smirking over the grave of a true hero and patriot.

Issa uses the Fox News 'sumsay' attack, saying he has anonymous sources whom he will not identify.

The facts: Ambassador Stevens knew more about the security situation in Libya than just about anybody. He planned a trip to Benghazi. With all of his intimate knowledge of the situation, and with the latest intel at his disposal, he went forward with the trip and did not decide to cancel it--even though the consulate's temporary quarters did not provide ideal security.

Issa is doubling down on a failed strategy...

Posted in GD by ProSense:

Poll: Obama Still Holds Decisive Lead Over Romney On Foreign Policy | Mitt Romney’s campaign, Republicans and their conservative allies at Fox News have been making a lot of noise the past few weeks claiming that the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Libya on Sept. 11 means President Obama is weak on foreign policy. But a new poll conducted on Sept. 24-27 suggests that the attacks aren’t gaining any traction. According to a new Politico/George Washington University poll, 52 percent of likely voters said Obama would “better handle” foreign policy compared to Romney’s 40 percent. The result is almost unchanged from when the same poll asked the question back in May and it mirrors what other polling has found this campaign season.

UPDATE

A new Washington Post poll conducted Sept. 26-29 found that Obama has a 14 point lead over Romney on which candidate Americans trust more to do a better job handling terrorism and a five point edge on trust in handling international affairs.
