Possibly they may save themselves but certainly save America from anymore of trumps lunatic crap. They have nothing to lose. Trump is gone on January 20th no matter what, but we are all going to be living with the consequences of the damage he is going to do between now and then.

Trump has clearly lost his mind and it is imperative that he not be allowed to continue as president. Pence can run the show for the 2 months that are left. Getting trump out now would allow republicans to take the high road, save their legacy and be able to claim that they put country first.

Leaving trump to finish out his term, and our sentence, may result in harm far beyond any we can reasonably contemplate. He is a trapped animal and may believe he has the right to wreck any and all as he sees his end coming. His end is coming, like a freight train in the night, lights blazing and horn hollowing, it is coming for him.
