Trump Revolution Network, or something like that. He has TMed TeleRally (or something like that). The plan is for it to be a subscription service, 5-7 dollars/month. Donny Deutsch (who was talking about it on one of the MSNBC pgms last night) said they're thinking if just 10M of the 70M who voted for him subscribe, that it would bring in 1B/year.
I'm thinking ... TeleRally? Really? I get that he has a cult, devoted following, but am thinking those rallies were about the excitement of the event, but correct me if I'm wrong, didn't folks start leaving long before they were over?
What hooks will he use to hold their attention and make it worth a monthly fee? He repeats himself over and over and over - won't they just get tired of him and move on to the next lunatic?

(1,896 posts)Anything more than 3 sentences long, and/or consisting of more than 30 words is incomprehensible to a magat. They hear anything in excess of 3:30 as if it were for the first time. It's always fresh and new. Every minute something new.

(4,673 posts)will keep Repubs in fear of him because if he can turn just 20% against an incumbent in a primary, that would be meaningful. And it's of course why they are afraid to cross him now by congratulating Biden. It's more than about GA

(5,499 posts)He wouldn't have the responsibilities of the office holding him back. He can capitalize on businesses opportunities using his influence. Republicans will always back him out of the fear of what he could do to them.
In a strange way, if New York prosecutes him, it could reinforce his popularity to his fans.
But he's old and in not so good health. Time is ticking quickly for Donald. I bet he has more enemies than friends.

(1,896 posts)Does anyone really believe that trump would go into this without thinking things could collapse? Before he agreed to taking this gig he probably asked, what's in it for me. They offered him riches. When he said, that's not enough - sometimes things go bad. If it goes bad I get twice that. And they agreed. Trump doesn't give a rat's ass about anything else. There is no moral victory to be had.
any deal going in he accepted for what the GOP's was willing to pay. They thought nothing could go wrong but it did. So he goes in downsizing and cutting everywhere, crash and burn. In the meantime all that unspent money is being leveraged for ?
Either way, he wants his pay and the cons don't have it.

(13,776 posts)They liked him before he was president because he openly said racist things that they'd hadn't heard from a politician in the past 10-20 years. They like him now because he actually puts children in cages. Just talking about putting children in cages won't be nearly as red-meat-y to them. He'll be just like any other angry person on Fox.
