Paul Ryan implied today that the key to solving the problem of the 47% is to get them jobs. Only the vast majority of those people either do have jobs or are retired. Video after the jump

Needless to say, the vast majority of the 47% either have jobs or do not have them because they are retired. 44% of the 47% are elderly people who have various tax credits tied to Social Security benefits. So presumably we’re not trying to them off their butts and back into gainful employment. Most of the rest are people who have jobs but don’t make enough to pay income tax credits or are employed with low incomes and get tax rebates because they have children.
