No need to swear or drink. If it's flying and not identifiable to you, it *is* a UFO. Earthshine2 Nov 2020 #12

I think back to those Mercury launches from the early 1960’s and how we watched the networks for hours before and after.

TMI??

So long ago, husbands one and two passed.
But still a thrill to watch and remember when it all started.

But years later we moved to Florida. I watched the Challenger blow up short miles away from our home, and to this day my heart races and I have to look away from each launch.

I had private duty patients on the beach. We lived in Pompano so on launch nights they invited me to stay.
We are in the keys now for many years. The only wild thing we see in the sky is an occasional water spout. (Although I swear there was a UFO, but that’s another story, and perhaps there was alcohol involved)

To our alien overlords ... may they visit us one day.

Cheers!

I’m one of those nuts who communicates with (non-alcoholic) spirits, so your alien pals don’t bother me a bit.

The beach was lit up like a candle. It was amazing! We would hop on our surfboards and ride the night. Great times

I was visiting family in Clearwater, and could STILL see a night launch brilliantly.

The energy coming out of those rockets are indescribable!
