I was just thinking about Trump's meetings with Russian officials that only had Trump and a translator from the US present. After the meeting(s), Trump took the notes from the translator and the translator was never allowed to speak about what was discussed.
But what about when Biden takes office? Can the translator then be compelled to recall as much as he/she can?

(7,543 posts)to keep it away from judgemental eyes...items like the 'perfect' Ukrainian extortion phone call. If they were improperly classified that can be reversed and then FOIA would be applicable.

(8,291 posts)And was the translator for that meeting, I would have written down every thing I could remember as soon as I left that meeting. Especially if they grabbed my notes from me. I hope shes okay too.
