The crazies and the cult with the guns protest en masse over lockdown orders. Because they can’t stand to miss a haircut or a trip to the gym.

Although it would help if businesses forced to shut down had some kind of monetary aid to at least tide them over until we come out of it. I do understand you’re talking about people’s livelihoods here. Something will have to be done, we can’t continue down this path. And McTurtle and the GOP feel they’ve “done enough” to help people who are struggling?!

It’s why we’re not helping actual small business and restaurants. 20 Republican senators said they’ve done enough. Sadly people voted for the murdering bastards.

I can shop for needed food if I wear my mask.

I can go to physical therapy so I can be as fit as possible. But I cannot enter if the body temperature scanner at the front desk deems me without a fever.

These restrictions are needed, sane and fair to all. But we all have to grow up and take responsibiilty.

As I recall, the armed protestors clearly had never set foot in a salon, barber shop or gym in decades.

Bearded fat phecks, almost to the "man."

I have had a number of other illnesses..Where I live, (in Cook County Illinois)..we have one of the largest number of cases in the country..(you can check that out ...John Hopkins University has a website that keeps track.) I stay at home almost all the time...and it is boring..boring...and VERY BORING..

Speak for yourself....I stay at home almost all the time...and I don't like it at all..I visit with almost nobody...Please speak for yourself..staying at home sucks.!!!!
......but Covid 19 is much worse...Pneumonia is much worse..I get exercise by walking up and down the stairs in my house...I stay at home...

....This is a major catastrophe, I stay at home cause I don't want to get sick..it is that simple..If I go out occasionally, I wear a mask (M95) and always wear gloves)

...What is it? 200,000 deaths??? And more coming...plenty more coming..

Someone pointed out that politics is why we won’t go into a lockdown. Republicans simply won’t approve money that would allow people to stay home until the infection rate is brought under control.

So, we will have to rely on mask wearing, social distancing where possible and people following effective hygiene procedures. I personally have been wearing a mask whenever I am outside my home since April. But I have moved freely about and lived life fairly normally. I don’t do stupid stuff like dine in, go to bars and I have gone inside a place for takeout only maybe four times since March. I do grocery and clothes shop inside, but I am masked and pay attention to how far people are away from me, I particularly distance from non mask wearers.

But I can’t afford to. Most of us cannot. With the supplemental unemployment I was just able to squeak by. Without it, I’d lose everything. I just follow the protocols and go to work. There’s no choice.

The distressing thing is that I see people walking around with masks under their chin. They have the ear bands in place, but none of their upper respiratory system is covered. I really believe that a lot of people doing that type of stuff report that they were wearing a mask when they get sick - they were not wearing a mask, same for people who don’t cover their nose up to the nose bones.

Seriously, I wasn’t offended nor do I think your comment was disrespectful. We should be handling this the way other countries that have locked this down have. I’m just reflecting the reality of the situation for many because of the irresponsibility of Republican controlled government.

You’re good. 🤗

Not enough people stayed home. A lot of people could not afford to stay home. A bunch more people had a hissy and said I do what I want.

And then we have people who stayed home and had delivery people running all over taking the risks for them.

It won't work here.

...in many states. There aren't enough professionals to staff them and attend to all the sick. Meanwhile, we have Drumpf and his fans mocking basic pandemic precautions like masks; his fans don't seem to have gotten the memo about how they won't get the $500K Regeneron serum when they get "a little flu". I can't believe some of the crap I read over the holiday on Twitter, Reddit, etc. about these morons getting together for huge group events with no protection whatsoever. I just hope that at most of those gatherings no one was infected.

Tony Evers could not place a stay at home order.

They (the Republican court members) also struck down mask mandates and an order limiting the number of people who could enter a public place, like a bar.

What they're trying to do is take away our last election and I hope they somehow pay for it.
