Will he sign it before he leaves? God forbid that we should get our measly $600 checks too soon.

7. A Pocket Veto? I checked this out earlier

A pocket veto occurs when a bill fails to become law because the president does not sign the bill and cannot return the bill to Congress within a 10-day period because Congress is not in session. Article 1, Section 7 of the U.S. Constitution states:

If any Bill shall not be returned by the President within ten days (Sundays excepted) after it shall have been presented to him, the same shall be a Law, in like manner as if he had signed it, unless the Congress by their Adjournment prevent its return, in which case it shall not be a Law.

21. Congress is not out of session. Both houses stopped actually adjourning

some time ago, to prevent things from happening. Congress is still in session, but is in recess. Congress has not adjourned.

If Trump pockets the bill without vetoing it, it will automatically become law.

Then again, it might not pass. Who knows what the Senate will do?

If I ever agree with Trump on anything, I’m more than happy to give credit where it’s do. Democrats must agree to this, not for Trump but for helping poor Americans.

I’d rather take my $600 and wait for Biden to get more than watch him screw the Democrats and play the benevolent master.

We can’t waste time trying to get the Repukes to agree. If they agree to the $2,000, fine. But they will likely scream about the cost. And who knows what Trump wants cut out? Likely very useful stuff.

To disagree on something just because you hate the person when you agree is the definition of wrong.

He is just throwing that out there as bait.

He always lies.

Always.

To forget that is to forget the first rule of Trump. He always lies.

He is just throwing a wrench in the system to exacerbate pain of Americans. He hates us and wants to see people suffer.

If he really thought $600 was too low he had literally months to make his position known.

Once the bill was passed he comes out to say it’s too little.

That is a lie. He is just playing games.

But if he’s offering, I’ll take it. It’s not like it’ll help him in the election, it’s over. And Pelosi agrees.

I don’t think that’s the real reason. He’s just a petty, vindictive asshole. We do have a veto proof margin, don’t we?
