Trump Hotel DC's cheapest room is now $4,500/night for the Jan. 6 rally. (Original Post) demmiblue Dec 2020 OP
Yeah, I can see it now--20 MAGAts crammed in a room. But it's probably still too much. catbyte Dec 2020 #1

Apparently, they're trying to screw any foreign dignitaries who might be coming to Washington for the Inauguration. Vile.

I would think that a worry of vandalism would be significant.

I think the extreme cost is to keep the violent people out. Other hotels have closed January 4, 5, 6.

The price shift is so dramatic, that's it's not supply & demand.
They are scaring people away with dollar signs.

You say you'd die for tRumpy but you won't plunk down a few grand to stay at one of his hotels?

Sounds like your life is worth less than a night at the tRump Hotel. Sad!

The pig keeps dumping on his toadies and they're too stupid to figure out how he detests the ignorant, uneducated cult! He just screwed the boys😂

I know lodging costs get crazy during big events, but this seems a little beyond crazy.

I remember back in 2008, when I tried to find a room in Denver for the Democratic National Convention. Hotels, even people offering private room in their houses for over $1000 a night. Totally nuts. I was told of some online sites, and I found a college student who was looking to sublet his apartment for $450 for the MONTH of August. I contacted him, and took his apartment, paid for the full month, and gave him back his place after the 4 or 5 days I was there. I had to walk all of ten minutes to get the tram into town. To save $900 a day, it sounded like quite the bargain to me!
