How worried are you about Jan. 6th? What scenarios are dancing about in Trump's fever dream?

I know many DUers are not worried and they seem to have good reasons, but we should realize that Trump is hard at work scheming and he's a cornered rat.

In the face of Senate and House objections to five states' certified votes, could he get an Alan Dershowitz type to argue that the House of Representatives should vote per state delegation? (While leaning on the Senate.)

I don't know and would sincerely like to know how others feel and what they suspect and/or expect.

but the theatrics will be interesting.

The larger issue is the Republicans will say Biden didn't win for the next four years.

Unless both houses of Congress agree on objections to electors from some state, the slate of electors sent by that state will be counted as sent.

I guarantee that the House will not agree with any objections. Period. Actually, I don't think the Senate will either.

Objections might cause a delay in the proceeding, but that's it.

Nothing they do will change the vote. And if some fool Proud Boys want to make trouble,
they will be arrested and do time and pay fines.

They are trying to fill a bus to go. Several county officials are going to fly in. They desperately want a confrontation so Trump can call it an insurrection. I think there will be violence. I don't think it will work to their intended purpose, but I fear the damage they will cause.

that Biden will assume the office on Jan. 20th without a hitch. What I’m pissed about is that the GOP has brainwashed 30% of the country into thinking Biden stole the election. It undermines confidence in our democracy and may have some devastating long term effects.
