I got my $600 stimulus overnight, and guess I'm to buy stuff to 'stimulate' the economy.
But I applied most of it to bills.
I did set aside enough to order a 'Hawaiian pizza' (with pineapple and ham).

(8,057 posts)I haven't cleaned my 20-year-old oven in a while because I don't trust the safety of its self-cleaning feature anymore--and every time I think, "Yuck, I should get some Easy-Off and get to work" I tell myself "Why bother? Buy that new oven!" Finally gonna do it. Before I have a kitchen fire.

Pineapple does not belong on a pizza!

(34,195 posts)Hawaiian pizza, also known as pineapple pizza, is a pizza topped with pineapple, ham, tomato sauce and cheese.
The dish tends to spark debate regarding the inclusion of pineapple on a pizza.
Sam Panopoulos claimed that he created the first Hawaiian pizza at the Satellite Restaurant in Chatham, Ontario, Canada in 1962.
Inspired in part by his experience preparing Chinese dishes which commonly mix sweet and savoury flavours, Panopoulos experimented with adding pineapple, ham, bacon and other toppings.
These additions were not initially very popular. The addition of pineapple to the traditional mix of tomato sauce and cheese, sometimes with ham or sometimes with bacon, soon became popular locally and eventually became a staple offering of pizzerias around the world.
In regards to the naming of the dish, Panopoulos chose Hawaiian after the brand of canned pineapple they used.

(23,134 posts)Many courses of antibiotics has failed to cure him, so he needs a nasal rinse, cell capture, labs & x-rays = lots of $$. Our stimulus is going to the vet to try to get our big sweet guy well. After the first procedure, he is likely to need a 2nd one as well if there's any mass that needs to be removed/biopsied. Hopefully the cost won't exceed our stimulus checks.
