"SNIP.....
The Hill: The Democratic rules package includes the revocation of floor privileges for former members of Congress convicted of crimes connected to their service or election.
It would also make it a violation of the code of conduct for members, officers or employees of Congress to identify a whistleblower.
The rules package would also ban members from knowingly disseminating manipulated images or deepfake videos.
.....SNIP"

(129,575 posts)because the loons like MOOOnes and Gymsuit Jordan were some of the biggest ones instigating releasing the names of whistleblowers and I think even did via social media.

(8,350 posts)They can run, and if they win, they would not be former members but current members and as such would have access to the Floor. If they remain former members, they will not have access to the Floor.

I'll wait for the proof.

(118,816 posts)the news that some provincial politicians have been caught going to Hawaii or St Barts (all conservatives because rules aren't for them... rules are for the little people). How do we protect our beloved cbc when it is partially government funded and therefore can't protect itself or mount a counter campaign? Where would the world be without 'As It Happens' on radio at night. Rempell has a compelling problem during covid.... many many people are not getting to be with loved ones as they die... her mother-in-law is in the US i think, but she blames it on the cbc like it is a witch hunt to be following the rules governments have laid out for everyone. How do we get conservatives to stop undoing information and values like republicans did in the US?
