Those (mostly rural) states with representatives that oppose outright certification of the electoral vote need to have their $$$$$$$ cutoff. The first thing to go must be the farm bill.

(146,336 posts)Did you think about that very long? I sure hope not.
For example, California is one of the largest producers of agricultural products in the United States, and is #1 in most categories. Do you remember how California voted in the Presidential election.
My state of Minnesota also sent a slate of electors for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, and is also mostly a rural, agricultural state. For example, it produces more turkeys than any other state. Did you have turkey over the holidays, or eat a turkey sandwich?
Now, you may not be a farm person, but surely you can understand that agricultural states are not all Republican states, right?

But the problem is that the other side doesn't want to government to work for everybody...they want it to work for them, and no one else!
They want their religious views enforced by the government, they want their racist beliefs enforced by the government, they want their bigotry to be enforced by the government, they want their hatred enforced by the government!!
And even if Biden and Harris were endorsed by Jesus Christ, those people still wouldn't change their minds!!!!

(21,639 posts)which is exactly what would happen because we would be condemning our Dem reps in purple districts in those states to defeat if we take out our anger at seditious GOPers on their constituents.
