General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsSaturday is usually a lighter COVID reporting day. Not today.
more than 255K cases reported. more than 2000 fatalities by this website https://coronavirus.1point3acres.com/en - total of 355K fatalities (a bit less than the site below)
not sure what this site had today - they've already reset https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/ - they have more than 358K fatalities total
Act Now site https://covidactnow.org/?s=1483439 has a few days with WA and OR orange, now back to red, and some states are returning to darker red.
It is inconceivable to realize that nearly the half of the country seems to be playing the herd immunity game - the issue being they are living amongst those of us who actually believe science and value life.
One other thing - looking at the news- every single fucking day since the orange asshole won the election in 2016, the news is largely about him. Here we are, only a few weeks away, with a great Biden/Harris victory - and he still finds a way to make every fucking day about him.
This is worse than a nightmare.
Edited to add - there is this - https://www.cnn.com/2021/01/02/health/us-coronavirus-saturday/index.html
Of course there will be another COVID spike - all those holiday travellers, all of those maskless parties.
Didn't realize that someone decided our country was about committing mass suicide. Darwin awards happening at an alarming rate.
