Ron Johnson is my Senator

I am disgusted but not surprised that he is one of the Senators objecting on 1/6/21. That said, contacting his office is an exercise in futility and I have given up, BUT... how do those of us in states with these asshats find a meaningful way to let them know we do not approve? He doesn't care, his staff don't care, and any response from his office is the party line and ignores anything we might have said.

2022 elections cannot come soon enough.

Since we're not mega donors, our voice doesn't get heard. letters to the editor in the local newspaper or on Facebook? Posting leaflets all around town decrying his behavior? Put up signs in your yard, or even in his??

I'm afraid you've hit the nail on the head... our "representatives" are even less representative of us than tRumf is.....

In my area I prefer not to let my politics be known.

I'm happy others do though, I know who to avoid!

I’m stuck with Ron Johnson too, but still leave messages when his vm isn’t full. Both of his numbers are stored in my cellphone, and if his DC office box is full, I can often get through to his WI office. His #s are: (202) 224-5323 and (414) 276-7282.

FWIW, Mark Pocan and Ro Khanna are regular guests on Thom Hartmann’s show. Each of them takes calls from listeners for a full hour, and invariably someone asks, “What can we do?” Both of them say that phone calls at least make them feel the pressure, and they urge listeners to “CALL AND EMAIL YOUR ELECTED REPRESENTATIVES.”

Maybe decent folks feel some pressure, but these are not decent folks. They just don't care.

I'm glad you have the energy though.

9. Living in PA, I emailed Sen. Pat Toomey twice in the past two years.

I received replies (generated, no doubt, by his staff) defending his votes on the issues I raised. I knew that my emails were not going to change his votes, but, nonetheless, I wanted to let him know that he had constituents, like me, who are progressive and who follow news coming out of congress.

At least Toomey has announced that he will vote to certify the electoral college results. I suspect that, because of his announcement, he has received bodily harm threats from far-right anarchists.

Also, Toomey has announced that he is not seeking re-election in 2022.

Johnson is a different case. I am sorry about your sense of frustration over the futility of initiating any contact with his office.
