The Vercotti brothers, Dino and Luigi, played by Michael Palin and Terry Jones, show up at a British Army officers office and start to threaten him and his unit. One of them I swear to God uses pretty much that same quote verbatim lol!! Substitute 'state' with 'Army base' or something similar. I wish I could find the video clip!

...Associate of Joe McCarthy, Roger Stone, and Jeffrey Epstein...

... Who knew what when? In Palo Alto, after Epstein’s conviction, he was a guest at a dinner for the MIT neuroscientist Ed Boyden that was hosted by LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman. At the same dinner Elon Musk introduced Epstein to Mark Zuckerberg. Is money so powerful that it tramples all other considerations? As James Baldwin put it, “I can’t believe what you say, because I see what you do.”

One of the most remarkable moments in Tyrnauer’s documentary comes near the end, when it’s no longer possible to pretend that Cohn isn’t a liar and a fraud, when it’s no longer possible to deny that he lacks both shame and conscience. When Cohn was about to be disbarred in 1986 for defrauding his clients and for taking advantage of a dying and incompetent man, character witnesses began to emerge. There were letters to the court from William F. Buckley Jr., Barbara Walters, William Safire, and, of course, Trump, who wrote that Cohn “has been extremely loyal and extremely honest.” Were Cohn’s parties—was his protection—really that good?...

for others to help him out of a terrible jam of his own creation. He sounds like a mobster whose boss will be very unhappy with him for failing to do what he was ordered to do. He lost the election and was unable to turn it around in his favor through deception and accusation.
There was a distinct note of desperation in his voice. He stands to lose a great deal. Perhaps more than most of us are even aware of at present. Time will tell.

He wasn't being his usual obnoxious, overbearing self. He was pleading and his tone was desperate, as he knows his time is running out.

He shouldn't be on the phone anyway. He should be packing.

Not like a mobster.

This entire 4+ years have been run by gangsters with Trump assuming the role of a mafia Don. The recording is just another piece of evidence of how the man operates and pressures perceived underlings: strong-arming individuals with misinformation, blatant lies and veiled threats. This is what he did in connection to Ukraine. Because it's the way the man thinks--everything's open to the grift and everyone is expected to bend to his will. Or else.

It's disgusting!

He needs to be called out as the criminal sociopath he truly is. Why the media appears shocked at the lengths this man will go is equally shocking.

No more excuses or polite explanations. For Trump or his supporters.
