1. No, they should have put a tail and Pinocchio nose on Romney and a dead look on Jim Lehrer...

That Obama chose not to "be there" should be held against him.

I don't think Obama was really there. Maybe like AL Gore said, it was an altitude thing. But then Obama could have felt he really didn't need to say a word because Romney will bury himself as he has.

5. I interpret it as Romney debating with the phantom Obama of right-wing propaganda.

The same way Eastwood did with the chair.

That and Romney's campaign acknowledging his lies have been the two main takeaways from the debate. A good reminder to Wake The Fuck Up from top to bottom it is still GOTV.

11. Not accurate and not funny, it's a cheap shot pandering

to dangerous speed-lying power-grabbing sociopaths. It's irresponsible to encourage that mentality, and New Yorker should know better. They reward the phoney and ridicule the guy who's trying to be truthful and serious.

But anything for a passing laugh, apparently.

15. It's not helpful to Romney

It means he "won" by default, because Pres. Obama wasn't there. Something else was going on, etc. The fact that everyone is upset just goes to show how phenomenal Obama can be when he's on his game.

16. Lies to Chairs too

I don't think the fact that Romney lies to chairs too is even remotely funny.

Repukes better laugh now....they won't be on November 6th.

17. Yesterdays news, Jobs report deletes debate stories, Mittens will say something stupid very shortly!

Next!! This news cycle moves so fast, Sunday talk will try to do debate stuff but the jobs report and the"jobbers" will steal the cycle.

To me, covers of weekly mags can go stale instantly. Whats more boring than Richard Stengle unveiling the cover of Time magazine on Mourning Schmoe??? The articles in the New Yorker, The Nation and Rolling Stone are important but the internets and cable news has become so pervasive to most people in how they get their news.
