Not me, as I can make myself look like a fool without anyone else's help.

(2,163 posts)Do you agree with the presidents foreign policy?
It's not going to be much of a debate with Obama and Romney on foreign policy.
Most of it will be , I agree on that
There's not a whole lot of difference between republican and democrat foreign policy as of right now.

DemocratSinceBirth
(99,710 posts)But it is a deeply flawed analogy.
It's akin to saying since Joe X thinks Vitali Klitschko looks good because he boxes in a weak era Joe X should get in the ring with him.

(3,891 posts)I would love to debate the President, and call his attention to the policies we all remember inspiring us in 2008. Policies like ending the PATRIOT ACT. Wouldn't you love to debate the President on that, and put forth the moral view that it is unconstitutional, insulting to travelers, and the worst policy holdover from the Bush Neocon? Wouldn't you like to point out that when Congress asked the NSA how many people had been illegally wiretapped, the NSA refused to answer on the grounds that telling Congress how many people were subjected to illegal wiretaps would violate the privacy of the people who were wiretapped illegally?
I'm sure most of us would like to have the opportunity to call the President's attention to many of the Bush Co. policies that remain in effect, despite being illegal, unconstitutional, immoral, or just plain stupid.
A public debate would allow us to inform, and educate the world to what we think about a number of issues. Including waste, theft, and outright reckless endangerment from the Military Industrial complex. The stealth destroyers are just plain stupid. Rendition is another subject I would like to debate President Obama on. How can we expect the world to respect us when we act like the worst examples of thuggish secret police all around the world? The message for the world from the CIA is do what we want or we will kidnap, torture, and/or kill you.
I would love to point out the civilized world all has single payer, and we have promises of a weak insurance reform regarding Health Care.
I expect many of us would love to explain many of our views, in a public, or private forum. That is the problem we always face. Rush Limbaugh, Hannity, Beck, and the rest of the Faux News douchbags are always lying about us, poisoning public opinion against us in many cases on a number of subjects. By having the time during the debate, to explain, and espouse the other side, we might be able to empower President Obama into returning to his roots.
