Nothing else makes sense. In 2 weeks they will both be private citizens, again. trump* will have NO authority over Pence. Mikey and Mother can head back to Indiana and enjoy life. Maybe write a tell all. Perhaps he can work on developing a personality that resembles something other than a big bowl of vanilla blancmange.

(4,846 posts)It's a catch-22 though. If Trump is not on the ticket, his cult followers don't show up and they lose (ex. GA runoffs and 2018 mid term). But they still need their support if they want to win primaries and in the general with Trump on top (2020 Nov. general).

(7,871 posts)1. Pence fearing Trump is the least of his worries.
2. Pence fearing prosecution from a Sally Yates ? Could happen.
3. Pence fearing Proud Boys ? maybe
4. Pence fearing the evangelicals ?
5. Pence fearing the loss of power of evangelicals ?
6. Pence fearing his own shadow ?
My view is Pence fears old age the most. All of these others are piling on.
