Mitch has no clue about the ....."payback coming"....

Mitch played ...."rough"...Schumer will play rougher...As rough as Mitch played but harder in every
way. Mitch never expected payback ..."so soon"...It goes with the territory. You play a certain way
when you are in charge, your opponent plays the same when it is in charge.
Democrats are ..........NOW IN CHARGE OF THE SENATE.......Lets think and enjoy that for a while.....................................................................................................

Supreme Court. Time has come. Mitch set the rules, and the tide has turned against him..Payback
will be total and complete in my opinion. If Mitch had played fair, then Biden would be doing the same.
Biden was in the Senate for a very long time. He knows the rules and the game and so does Shumer.

Trust,Mitch McConnell made that word meaningless . Doubt, just ask Harry Reid. As one of Harry's Aides said in a interview, you never turned your back on Mitch. Mitch's Handshake or word was worthless on less Mitch gained the upper hand.

9. Democrats do not do "payback". We govern, for all people.

I know that we all feel like we want to see payback. I know I have entertained the idea of McConnell suffering humiliation and being destroyed politically, but that is not how Democrats have operated and the reasoning is in our philosophy versus conservative philosophy.

Democrats operate on the principle of "government by consent of the governed". It is a hallmark of liberal thought. We have never governed for the benefit of the Democratic constituency but for all of the people. We don't do things to get revenge, we do things to get justice. It can be frustrating, especially when the other side does not think or act in the same way.

Conservatives/Republicans, fundamentally do not believe in government by consent of the governed. Conservative ideology is rooted fundamentally in "monarchist" positions (not literally in kings, queens, and nobility) which means that people are inherently unequal and some have been ordained to rule. It is the same philosophy the Burke and de Maistre advocated only with wealthy White men at the helm, not bloodline royalty. They obtain and hold power through whatever means they deem fit because after all, they have a god given right to be in charge.

I do hope that Democrats make some changes in the rules that allows the Senate to actually operate as it should. That in and of itself would probably really upset McConnell, and that would make me happy. 2 things they can do simply with rule change are:

1. Every proposal gets its time on the floor and gets a vote. This will stop the practice of the Majority leader killing bills without ever seeing the light of day. You make people take positions on legislation and let the people see that.

2. No "secret" negotiations. Obvious exceptions for situations involving national security issues (like troop placements, responses to attacks, etc...) but too often they go into a room and make deals without the people knowing who is proposing what. We need to see how they haggle on spending bills so that we can ask our representatives why they are willing to trade away pension protections to give tax relief to large retail businesses, and things like that.

I very much expect that a part of Yertles wrath for this will be (at least) to NOT impede any senate hearings regarding TrumpCo's crimes.

Now, he wont lift a finger to help them.

Kick him in the balls and block his every move.

Not only does he deserve it, but America desperately needs progress, and progress will only happen that way.

McConnell certainly has moves to make, but if the situation holds in Georgia, they will be limited.

I am not sure what you mean by "polite concessions". I explained the reason why Democratic politicians do not typically do things for "payback" which is just another word for revenge. We don't govern that way. Like I said, I completely understand the emotions and sentiment. I want to see McConnell trip and fall on a dildo repeatedly (ass to mouth), and have that be his legacy. HOWEVER, I do not see that, or kicking him in the balls, as an effective governing strategy, which as I said, is what Democrats believe in. We govern. We use government to try to make EVERYONE's life a little better.

I wholeheartedly agree that Republican tactics of obstruction and other dirty tricks need to be stopped. They need to be stopped so that we can govern effectively, not to get back at McConnell. If what we do pisses him off and causes some kind of reaction that causes him psychic or physical discomfort, then that is gravy.

I'm thinking we need a Senate committee to study standards and practices for the lancing of unusually large boils. That would be an appropriate assignment and he deserves to chair it.
