@RepCori
I believe the Republican members of Congress who have incited this domestic terror attack through their attempts to overturn the election must face consequences. They have broken their sacred Oath of Office.
I will be introducing a resolution calling for their expulsion.

(12,480 posts)The damn traitor republicans. They do not deserve to have a seat.
Fuck the republicans every last one. Get those pieces of shit out and deport the rich who support them and start arresting the terrorists and if necessary shoot the terrorist fuckers and shoot those who are defending them.
I am beyond pissed. I want these terrorist fuckers to pay.

(3,121 posts)I totally agree with your pissed-offness, but I don't understand the deportation part.
Perhaps he meant Robert Murdoch, a naturalized U.S citizen, who has used his network for many years to promote extremist/terrorists rightwing groups.

(16,938 posts)after the bit of uproar about Dr. Jill Biden being addressed as "Dr." (she DID earn her doctorate in Education - and she has NOT performed any surgery or delivered any babies as far as I know....) - I'm not recalling any serious "questions" regarding what to "call" our current (13 days and counting/MAX!) First Lady.
I will admit that these pics certainly have allowed a wide variety of considerations. But then again, with so little time left for the current First Lady, who cares!

(2,698 posts)We have a huge, I think, moth ball fleet of old Navy ships we can use as floating prisons, get some non-complicit genuine American prison guards to keep the traitors shackled and manacled, feed them prison gruel, set sail beyond the horizon and moor there so these bastards could never see the country again.
And that should be the punishment not just for the Louie Goehmerts and Josh Hawley -- and, oh, yes, Yes Cruzs -- but for every stinking traitor in the mob that sacked our Capitol Building. I think we have enough ships and getting the crews together would not be a problem. There are a lot of patriotic sailors in America who would love the job. (What a movie we could make! Call it The Treason Armada or some such. Plot ideas are abundant. it could be a multi season Netflix sensation! But I digress.)
And that kind of deporting should be OK. If it isnt then get the American Congress to pass a law making it so. The idea is both to keep them in prison and out of the Land of the Free.

(1,340 posts)Nothing was done to them. They were breaking into the Capitol. Why were there not armed guards standing just inside the doors and when they set foot in there, they were trespassing on federal property. Since the MAGAts would not stop, they would need to be shot. Period, the end. They need to be treated like the enemies of the state that they are.

(10,080 posts)are calling for the immediate removal of Trump. Considering that the leaders of these companies donate a bundle of money to Republicans, the threat to withhold donations might work on them. It is time for the 25 Amendment since it might be faster than an impeachment and a trial to remove.

(23,755 posts)Under the amendment's fourth stipulation, it would only take 14 people to depose the president Vice President Mike Pence and 13 of Trump's 24 Cabinet members
Section IV reads:
"Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President."

(3,121 posts)possibly in a straight jacket. This resolution will hopefully get enough media coverage to get results. As for Frump, he is already feeling the heat of hell, where he will be soon enough. No time to get Frump. before he exits, but in two weeks, when he no longer has protection, vulnerability is an understatement.

(94,738 posts)House members have a Constitutional role in certifying the Electoral College vote and under House rules have the right to object to EV certification. They also have a First Amendment right to opine on a Court case. Unless you can point to direct incitement, this is just symbolism.
