...terrorist action at the capitol today? I apologize if something similar has already been posted. I was feeling ill and slept for a lot of the day, came to check out DU as I often do, and saw the posts of what was happening. Hope to whatever deities are out there that these terrorists face the consequences of their actions. One good thing seems to have come out it, though: it scared the objecting senators and congress critters shitless and they appear to be dropping their theatrical, nonsensical objections to certification of the electoral college vote.

I'm assiduous about not calling things republican, or gop--just posted this was the second time since 1814 the Capitol was attacked. What about when Kavenaugh was being confirmed? Yeah, no, chanting protests in the office building atrium followed by 300 arrests is not the same.
What about BLM? They were in the capital. They threw bricks. Capitol, not capital.

I said I was not going to have off topic posts. I'd call them out. Had one guy say by then, I'm not joining. Um I said stay on topic. Not unfriend. Such defensiveness, such knee jerk reactions, and they know, deep down, they know we're right. They will not address today actual events. Stay polite. Call their statements untrue, don't name call.
