Of course they want us to move on because their republican party is complicit and responsible for the disaster yesterday.

a cover to excuse deplorable Retrumplicans behavior.

Any Democrat who is still a member of this "cock-us" today needs to do some serious soul searching.

The ONLY way that this group should continue is "IF" the Retrumplicans members come out and demand the expulsion of the extremists in the Retrumplicans Party.

Absent that, it's nothing but turd polishing.

parties can come together on. That not only is the way democracy is SUPPOSED to work, it's the way it HAS to work or it'll fail. Yes, it requires compromise, but we've seen the real-world alternative, and somehow I doubt you'd be happier under a fascistic dictatorship without a healthcare system. Abandon any hope the fall of our democracy would create a workers' utopia instead. Not going to happen.

Anyway, this little caucus doesn't replace the much larger and more powerful conservative and liberal caucuses that define the parties. This one will do its thing, hopefully nudge the big caucuses enough to have some successes, but the chances that they will out-power them are nil.

As for blowing their whistle and getting some media attention, would you rather the media continued to present Democrats as deeply divided between socialist extremism and corporatist corruption?

The Capitol Police where wholly incapable/unwilling to prevent the takeover of the building WHILE CONGRESS WAS IN SESSION TO CERTIFY THE ELECTORAL VOTE!

If they aren't willing to address this problem, they're full of Trump.

And then there's the 25-45 or Impeachment the Sequel problem...

sedition and this event specifically, the leaderships and heads of the appropriate committees are on it. I hope you realize both parties have an extremely strong, existential-level interest in the continuation of our government. At least the GOP does for now since a putsch controlled by them isn't possible at this time.

As for this little caucus, it doesn't drive either party and certainly has nothing to do with putting a leash on Trump. Let it do its thing. It won't hurt you.

Btw, in a democracy, inability to cooperate and compromise is NOT a virtue. It's a dysfunctional, extremist flaw that always results in self isolation and failure to achieve worthy goals.

In an authoritarian government, it only works for the extremists in control, and they have a nasty way of killing each other off. That inability to cooperate thing.
