Some dont need to practice things like smiling. Humans, for instance:

(21,642 posts)It's not natural to have your face frozen into a nonstop half-smile. If he'd practiced that smile (!) and occasionally used it, while alternating with a relaxed, attentive expression, it would have served him better.
Someone quoted a Politico article last night, characterizing Romney as "more relaxed" and the President as "grim-faced". That seemed very odd to me, because Mitt's "relaxed" behavior was near-manic and the President's "grim" expression was simply him looking thoughtfully at his notes while listening. So, we're supposed to believe Mitt's non-stop contrived OMG-has-someone-sewn-his-lips-together "smile" is relaxed and the President was "grim-faced" because he didn't have the same expression stamped on his face throughout the debate.

(21,551 posts)Cover up the mouth with your hand and you can see that his cheeks or eyes never change. It's a phony, "pasted on" smile. There's no feeling with it, he's just "smiling for the camera." By contrast Obama's is a genuine smile that involves the whole face, and reflects his feelings.

(17,528 posts)No one can continuously smile naturally...must be practiced. Bet $10,000 he doesn't smile constantly at home. The man's a total fake! Obama smiles a beautiful genuine smile when appropriate.

(21,551 posts)you should smile when there's a reason to smile. If you don't, you look dour.
But if you smile all the time, even when there's nothing to cause it, it seems suspicious and evil.

Even if they don't actually experience those feelings.
