See the mini-charts of all 50 states beginning with:

"Where new cases are higher and staying high"

(the mini-charts take about 5-10 seconds to load on my system)

https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2020/us/coronavirus-us-cases.html

These are 7 day moving averages, so at least the day-of-the-week effect has been washed out, and we're not talking about a 1 day thingie.

Maybe it's because of holiday reporting anomalies and backlogs of cases being reported, but something to keep an eye on.

I'm in one of those states, Minnesota (along with neighbors in the upper midwest), that has had a huge decline since late November, and are seeing an upturn.
