Capitol police politely hold the door

A Capitol Police officer was seen politely holding the door for the pro-President Trump protesters to walk out of the building after they caused mayhem that forced lawmakers to barricade themselves inside.

Footage posted to Twitter showed an officer standing by as a stream of cheering protesters filed out of the historic building Wednesday after disrupting a joint session of Congress to certify the November presidential election.

“We made it! Woooo!” shouted one woman, who was carrying an American flag and wearing a Trump hat.

Another protester shouted, “Next time we’ll be back! And we won’t be peaceful!”

A second officer was seen briefly helping protesters open another door that had been vandalized with the words, “Murder the media.”

“Yes! We stopped the vote!” said another protester, who was among the dozens to walk past the officer.

12. Back in the late '80s I visited DC.

Of course, the Capitol was on my sightseeing list. There was a long line out front of other tourists, and I will never forget the Capitol Police walking around, up and down, yelling at people for no good reason — young, old, kids, families...we almost had to stand stock-still or risk getting cops in our faces. They were aggressive, and I remember being very intimidated, because I couldn’t understand why they had such bad attitudes.

Joe Scarborough told a similar story about how they would yell if you stepped off a curb before the light changed.

So what happened yesterday? They aided and abetted this. Bottom line.
