(14,998 posts)How much worse would it have been if Trump had been able to order the Capitol Police to completely stay away, like the DOD did with the National Guard? We'd have dozens of dead Congresspeople and staff.
We need a police force which only answers to Congress to protect Congress against the executive branch corruptly failing to do their duty. The Capitol Police needs to be utterly and completely examined and reformed, yes. But disbanded, no.

Find the complicit cops and fire them. The endangered their colleagues who were doing their jobs properly, all of Congress and congressional staff.

And then, we need to comb through every single police department in this country and weed out the white supremacists, nazi sympathizers and racists in their ranks. No fucking wonder so many cops kill black folks. The cops are full of white supremacists.
