Trump and his people aren't backing down at all and there is already talk of a bigger event on 1/19, maybe this one was just a distraction while they plan for a bigger event somewhere else and were testing whether they could really do it this easily.

19. They could have literally blown up the Capitol on Wednesday.

Sure, they couldn't take over the country, but now all eyes are on the Capitol with thousands of national guard and giant fences around it...so what if this is all a cover to take down some other unexpected target?

I know I'm kind of going down a rabbit hole here, but like I said, on Wednesday, terrorists led an insurrection in our country and occupied the Capitol building. We are lucky they didn't do more damage but they were in there with no reinforcements or back up for almost an hour, during one of Congress' most important meetings in decades.
