How can the Biden Inauguration be secured when we know that trumpists have infested LEOs & military?

If there were insiders in the DOD who contrived to leave DC & Congress unprotected yesterday, and trumpists in the Capitol Police - who in the world can be trusted to provide security for the Inauguration?

We KNOW the MAGAs are already planning a renewed assault in DC on January 20. It's delusional to think they'd be standing down, not with the success they had on Tuesday.

I sure hope Biden has some friends in the FBI, because I think our country is in grave danger.

No doubt they will be fired. The Chief who left them unprepared is already gone. I don't know about anyone else, but after what just happened, I don't feel like looking at the Capitol as a backdrop for the occasion. A nice little indoor televised inauguration is a great idea. Under the circumstances, it makes much more sense. There's no need to be getting huge crowds crammed together anyway, and an indoor ceremony would discourage the general public from gathering in large numbers while we're still dealing with a pandemic.

It's a shame the country won't get a big celebration. Joe, Kamala, and all of us certainly deserve one. Maybe there could be a parade and a party or something in a year or so after things turn around.
