A Capitol Police Officer Has Died Of Injuries From Trump Supporters' Riot

Police said earlier on Thursday that the mob "actively attacked" officers using metal pipes and chemical irritants such as tear gas. More than 50 Capitol and DC police officers were injured in the riot, and several were hospitalized with serious injuries, authorities said.

Four Trump supporters also died in the violence. Ashli Babbitt, a 35-year-old Air Force veteran and believer in the QAnon mass delusion, was shot in the neck by police as the insurrectionists were forcing their way toward the House Chamber, authorities said.

Three others — Benjamin Philips, 50, Roseanne Boyland, 34, and Kevin Greeson, 55 — died after suffering medical emergencies during the mayhem.

The three Trump fanatics who died during Wednesday's mob attack on the Capitol died from a heart attack, a stroke and being trampled in the Rotunda.

Roseanne Boyland, 34, from Georgia, Kevin Greeson, 55, from Alabama and Benjamin Phillips, 50, from Pennsylvania, all died on Wednesday.

Phillips, a computer programmer who traveled to DC with dozens of other Trump fans from Pennsylvania, suffered a stroke.

Greeson, who had high blood pressure, suffered a heart attack 'in the midst of the excitement', his family said
