Article I, Section 5, of the United States Constitution provides that "Each House [of Congress] may determine the Rules of its proceedings, punish its members for disorderly behavior, and, with the concurrence of two-thirds, expel a member." Since 1789, the Senate has expelled only fifteen of its entire membership.

They should know that his actions placed them in a dangerous spot. I don't doubt that they won't try to expel him, if they knew how close they were to become hostages.

But, I have no reason to believe the megabuck corporation/plutocrat whores of the POS (Party of Sedition) would even consider taking such a step.

During that time, all the confederates were expelled.

Senators have resigned rather than face expulsion. Heck, they didn't even expel Huey Long, although they tried. https://www.senate.gov/about/powers-procedures/expulsion/117LongOverton_expulsion.htm
