"Republican senators now regret not doing more to contain Trump"

From this article:

https://thehill.com/homenews/senate/533280-republican-senators-now-regret-not-doing-more-to-contain-trump

You. Thickheaded. ASSHOLES.

“We should have done more to push back, both against his rhetoric and some of the things he did legislatively,” said the [Republican] lawmaker. “The mistake we made is that we always thought he was going to get better. We thought that once he got the nomination, and then once he got a Cabinet he was going to get better, he was going to be more presidential.”

Let me translate. "The mistake we made is that we thought those shells falling on Fort Sumter were full of donuts. We thought that once the slaveholders seceded from the Union, and then got their own government, they were going to get better, they were going to be less treasonous and stop demanding to own other human beings as property."

only the people and institutions we hate: immigrants, liberals, LGBTQs, Muslims, and most of all Black people.

But now he's sent his rabid mob to attack us! Us rich entitled coddled protected white masters of the universe!

This cannot stand! (Though we still love the judges, the tax cuts, children in cages, and regulatory roll backs that allow our corporate sponsors even more opportunities to trash the environment).

Putting MY precious life in danger? OMG! How could have happened in OUR America?"

We should have elected less of them so that Trump would have had even half the opposition that Obama had.

I doubt the match between Cruz and Beto would have gone the same way if held today.

lying, self-serving anti-American sacks of dung fascist collaborators who appeased and enabled an aspiring fascist dictator, day after day.

Republicans are now, most deservedly, pariah, the permanent bottom feeders of American society.

The only Republican Senator that voted to convict Trump during his impeachment was Mitt Romney, who seems to be the only Republican Senator in existence with a shred of a sense of integrity, decency, ethics, and morality.

We need to ensure that the rest of them rot in the mold of never forgiven, never forgotten, hell for corrupt politicians consigned to the lowest reaches of the dustbin of history.

May they live in infamy as long as human kind exists.
