Do you remember the "Twilight Zone" episode where aliens got a neighborhood to mistrust each-other

with very little effort? Well sometimes it seems that it is all to easy to set off one poster against another poster here. It would be great if it were possible to have discussions while keeping respect for our differing views. I am not saying that we need to all agree or even understand everyones point. I feel that it is possible to have a small amount of trust and care for each other in how we use our speech. Yes I know that there are Trolls all over but maybe we do not always need to take their bait. Or maybe that poster we are sure is a Troll actually is not a Troll but our neighbor. I am not sure anything would change for the better, but what if it did. I am going to try anyway.

P.S. I just noticed the note about "No whining about DU" so please note in no way is this post intended be be whining, just my meek observation on the state of affairs.

The only 3 times I've been in there, I somehow got involved in a flame war that went on for dozens of posts. Solution? I don't go in there anymore

I saw it when I was a kid. I never forgot it, and it scared the crap out of me. I saw it again recently, because I ordered a bunch of "Twilight Zone" episodes from Netflix. If you have Netflix, get some of the episodes for yourself. You will love them.

I've made my daughter watch that with me, twice.

It's available on Netflix on-demand.

There's also a remake of it on YouTube.

neighborhood in America, cutoff from the rest of the world, would last all of 5 hours. And, guess who's really watching and taking notes . . .

I see DU'ers jumping on other Du'ers for whatever reason they can find. It's sad that they can't find other means for their enjoyment.

I remember noticing at one point he was in almost every series in some capacity. Hard working guy.

I wonder if it is an internalization of the political climate as well as the anger media
