Is Moscow Mitch stalling a upcoming impeachment vote because he knows more attacks are coming?

From trumps extremist and fascists groups, and from putins hackers on our infrastructure systems? He's called Moscow Mitch for good reasons.

I'm not connecting the dots as to why knowing more attacks were on the way would make him want to stall the impeachment trial?
