I'm sure they think deleting social media posts will save them, but the FBI will get their phones, contacts and slowly the net will encircle all of them.

Last night on one of the cable shows, one guest estimated that about 20% of Trump's voters were "hard core" insurgents, but just based on the number of the so-far arrested who are claiming they "got caught up in the moment" or "didn't mean to..." or are otherwise trying to excuse their own behavior, I think that number is much less.

No mention in the article as to whether the lecturn was recovered, or actually whether it was removed from the Capitol.

Let him rot in jail, then prison!

But the judge will give him a stern warning & release him to freely commit more crimes.

Why are these people not on home confinement with monitoring at the very least?

The courts are aware of the magnitude of the Capitol siege, so I don't believe they'll be lenient.

Florida's FBI office will likely be a bit busy, too.
A DC police report identifies several other Florida people arrested in connection to Wednesday’s U.S. Capitol breech:

· Nathanel Brown, 37, who is charged with assault on a police officer
· Andrew Johnson, 38, who is charged with unlawful entry and violating curfew
· Desaray Smith, 43, who is charged with violating curfew
· Emanuel de Sousa, 33, who is charged with resisting arrest
· Henry Tarrio, 36, who is charged with destruction of property less than $1,000
· Shawn Westberg, 47, who is charged with simple assault

However, our military knows how to make men out of boys (and women out of girls).addition to learning about duty and loyalty, they are exposed to Americans of many differing backgrounds. We have become too insular and it has hardened pre-existing prejudices. Some form of required national service would go a long way toward instilling a sense of unity and responsibility

especially with these endless wars we've been fighting.

I was lucky, Iraq and Afghanistan happened after I retired, but I did serve in Vietnam and Desert Storm.

I learned real quick to keep my head up and eyes forward and to listen to my platoon Sgt, who was a great Sgt.

My dear departed dad was one of the first US Navy Seabee's in WWll, he fought in Korea also.

He was kinda irritated that I didn't follow in his footsteps with the Seabees, instead opting for the Marines so I could chose my MOS before I got drafted.

In Vietnam, our platoon would frequently be attached to a Navy Seabee company to assist them in the field, so, in a way, I guess, I did become, temporarily, a Seabee.

Korea, he was gone for two years during that war. I have no idea what he did there as he would never discuss it.

He was in Viet Nam for almost 4 years, flying in and out of South and North Viet Nam. (The family was with him during the Viet Nam tour, that is why we were there so long.)

I think most of those combat missions were classified at the time and he never would talk about them later.

Right I think they all came back from WWII and Korea with PTSD.
And Viet Nam. No one knew what it was back then. We just knew something was not right.

Germany after WWII was a grim place.
