I don't like todays polls either but Obamas underlying structure is too strong and Romney's is too weak for it to matter much in the long run.

My disapproval was pretty mild overall. I'm just tired of negativism. It'll be better soon.

Then since you obviously don't know, and Nate Silver's been widely reported as saying that things are unlikely to settle down and give a clear picture till maybe midweek, if then, why post all this nonsense at the moment?

It's not as if anybody can do anything about it at the moment if your OP is correct, and if it's incorrect, it's just FUD.

There must be other ways to pass the time.

I don't really fight much anymore, and back then I rarely was wounded, but experience says that when wounded, I fight like a wounded animal.

I am many things, but a quitter isn't one of them.

I just like my breakfast served with a healthy dash of reality.

And a real fighter always has a cold-eyed assessment of the score.

By Friday morning, the counterargument that Obama had actually won on substance had taken root, with online sentiment now favoring the president:

but I really feel like even Democrats are admitting it didn't go well. I mean, you can even see that context in Murray's fundraising letter.

The polls - as much as I know and believe they can be turned back around - simply are not showing an Obama debate win from the first debate. Whether we like them or not, they are the best presently available reflection on reality. People like Nate Silver do not deal in emotion, bullshit, or pixie dust.

This isn't fatal. It still sucked.

It's hard to call that a 'win' after the Aliens ultimately kill everybody except Ripley and they still manage to turn her into an alien incubator.

Your posting history is now being researched as intensely as global climate change.

Google searches are being done using your screen name and all of its possible variations to see if you're posting on RW sites.

PMs are being traded and your screen name is now on hundreds of lists and the word "troll" is being used in more than a few of those PMs.

Bad move.
