4. I just saw a few seconds of Dragnet the other day

Joe was really just s scrawny little guy. I didn't remember him like that. We watched Dragnet every Friday night at my grandmother's house. They had a TV.

5. "Dragnet" had the best theme music ever...that "don-da-don-don"...

is perfect for a tough, no nonsense police procedural. It still holds up. They do do a nice job of not pairing Friday with actors taller than him, in fact I never even thought of him a short man. But a lot of actors are surprisingly short and the industry works around it with their camera angles and such.

6. I loved that theme music.

Those old TV shows had great theme songs. On Friday night we watched Twenty Mule Team with Ronald Reagan Dragnet. Amos and Andy and Honeymooners. I loved Frday night.

8. Right. When I was a kid I saw the law as unflinching good guys

no sense of humor, always on the job. But they were the good guys so they made us kids feel safe.


Too funny, just like I believed as a kid that the nuns slept in the wall cavities of the fold up benches in the cafeteria !!!! LOL. The Nuns, my teachers terrified me for 8 long years. Never really acted like real humans to me and never treated me with anything that could be equated with the love of Jesus or the love of Mother Mary. Having being taught by them was like being tortured ... can I sue them for PTSD?
