I highly recommend it. It was an example of really good high quality filmmaking on many levels. My husband is somewhat of a student of rock history and not easily impressed by most attempts to capture the era, but he was pleasantly surprised, and I really liked the scenes with Carter and black jazz musicians. I enjoyed seeing Rosalyn Carter in her element as first lady. She had more of a presence than I remember from the coverage in the 70's and more superficially, I noticed that she had quite a fashion sense. The true essence of this great man shone through and left me feeling grateful that he was given this tribute towards the end of his life. I dare anyone to watch it and not admire Jimmy Carter.

It's always the republicans committing treason and sedition (see Jan. 6, 2021).
I did enjoy the revelations of Carter's connections to the rockers like Willie Nelson, Bob Dylan, Greg Allman, Johnny Cash and others. If all of that was out back then he would've gotten re-elected despite Reagan's treason.

(20,002 posts)Some of us recognized in 1980 when bad actor Reagan won 489 electoral votes over the most honorable President Carter and then proceeded to bash unions and government and "welfare queens in Cadillacs" that the U.S. was likely headed for massive inequality and disaster.
And here we are.
