NBC analysis of Facebook and twitter posts about debate

Shows that there is overwhelming grassroots consensus that Romney only appeared to win the debate because of a torrent of lies.

http://nbcpolitics.nbcnews.com/_news/2012/10/05/14244918-social-media-analysis-who-really-won-the-debate

The immediate consensus that Mitt Romney won Wednesday's presidential debate has eroded significantly as fact-checkers have weighed in and supporters of President Barack Obama have fought back, according to NBCPolitics' computer-assisted analysis of more than 1.3 million post-debate comments on social media.

This article is a must read and shows how we can all have an effect if we are determined to get the facts out.

There are no words.

Once Willard started lying and then threatened Big Bird, I knew the post-debate blowback was what mattered. I smiled every second after he 'fired' Big Bird and Lehrer.

On top of being a lying sack of shit, he was bullying the hell out of Jim Lehrer, and bullying Obama. I'm now more convinced that Obama was simply rope-a-doping him and baiting him into losing his shit, and well, that strategy worked - the entire nation got to see Mitt Romney's inner asshole.

His pugnacious attitude toward Obama could be dismissed as "competitiveness" by some, but Lehrer should have been treated as a neutral, not an enemy.

It's as if they're watching sports and rooting for the home team while sitting on the couch making a mess with junk food and beer combined into spittle. If they can say, "WE WON!" it somehow gives them a reason for living, and apparently makes them believe they were somehow "in the fight."

Guess how many "true christians™," which is supposedly the soul of the cancervatives, really care that rMoney LIED his way to "win" the debate? None, just as they didn't care that bush lied constantly, including lying his way into wars that killed at least as many children of conservatives as killed children of liberals.

It's sick, it's twisted.

who wrote that the winner of this debate might take 3 or 4 days to come out..maybe longer. It's so good to see reports like this, Steven.. Thank you!

By Friday morning, the counterargument that Obama had actually won on substance had taken root, with online sentiment now favoring the president:

The "Romney wants to kill Big Bird" meme spread like wildfire on fb. An idiot could see that was not a good portent for Rmoney, and certainly wasn't indicative of a win on his part. That he failed with the fact-checkers is just icing on the cake.
