Rape is endemic to women in the military. I have NO idea why military 'leaders' have ignored rape in the ranks for so many years. But then again during the dubya years waivers for folks with criminal offenses were flowing as was the money. Remember military gangs in Germany in the mid-2000s?

And our mothers and daughters continue to be assaulted in the military. And the DoD wrings its hands and does little, if anything to stop it.
